Let me just start off by saying that I’m not a fan of political intrigue books. I always find them too complicated and hard to follow, and unfortunately, I would put “Star Crossed” squarely into that category. Despite that, I still thoroughly enjoyed the book. Even though it was complex at times, the plot was able to move steadily without lagging too much. The setting was rich and fantastical, and the characters themselves were deep and complex. It was especially fun to see the world through Digger, the main heroine’s eyes. A liar and a thief, she’s still an easy character to sympathize with. I’ll be looking forward to the next book in this trilogy.
