** spoiler alert ** Okay yeah, I loved it. I loved the confusion, going through all the possibilities of who/what Mac is, Barrons, etc. Not that I didn't love him before, but now that I've read all five I love seeing the progression of Barrons as a character. In many ways he's static but in many ways he changes. Absolutely brilliant characterization. There were a couple of surprises that I wasn't expecting. For one, I had no idea the 'dreamy guy' would have THAT big of a role. I knew he would come into play at some point, but the Unseelie King? Wow, didn't expect that. The other surprise for me was V'lane. I wasn't surprised that he was deceiving everyone, for some reason I never trusted him, but I wasn't expecting him to be Cruce, or even Unseelie. And he was one of the ones who raped her? I REALLY didn't see that coming. Wow, just wow. Amazing series though, and an amazing end. My one criticism: the lack of resolution with Dani, she just disappeared at the end. I have a feeling that there will be a spin-off series featuring her and I'm not sure how I feel about that. I like her as a supporting character but I definitely got a big bored during all the parts where she was the narrator. Of course I'd read it if there was a spin-off, but I'm not crazy about her being the primary focus of a story. This is all speculation, of course. I would love it if there was more to the Mackayla Lane/Jericho Barrons story. Okay, I'm gonna stop babbling now. More to read
