So to my complete surprise, this has been one of the most helpful books I have ever read. In the beginning I was a little turned of by the title, but got over it real quick. Yancey has a real gift for covering some rather difficult Christian topics, and I have found this to be a very good and relatable book. He has a way of writing with reality in mind, rather than sugar coating things, and giving cliche answers. I really cannot emphasize how surprised I am at the amount I like this book. I will be reading it again so I can absorb more of his great wisdom! I also forgot to mention that this book has taught me more about Jesus Christ than anything else I have read. I had a moment in reading this book where I all of a sudden FELT that he actually does know my pain.
