It would be kind of shame of me to just linger my Froi-of-the-exile feelings in the air and just let it be like that. I feel so very very obliged to make a review, especially when it's a really great book I am dealing with. Alright! Yeah so there's so many things to love! Firstly, there's Froi. My favorite! The boy that seriously yanked the humor out of me in the first book (and in the second book as well), courtesy of that unfiltered mouth of his, the boy that i never expected to change drastically, the boy that became a man on his own who's the last person i would think to involve in a romantic relationship. Then there's Gargarin, Blessed Arjuro, Lirah and....Quintana. I love all of them because like Froi, they also made me laugh out loud SO SO SO HARD!! Hahahahahaha! They had their own bizarre personality and dimension, each of the character had a sense of deepness, totally different from each other. The only common thing I could point out among them is that - they're all savage! lol. However savage they may all be (which is not a negative thing for me to say), still they were such strong characters (figuratively), each of them had a very significant and powerful role in the story, same goes to the rest of the characters like Lucian, De Lancey, Phaedra, Tesadora and many others. The interactions, the dialogue, even those with profanities were all smartly delivered. The plot and the setting were awesome and genius! I love how Melina created the world of Lumatere, even of Charyn that was so disrupted and seemed to have fallen its kingdom that ignited a civil war, and of the other kingdoms as well. i also love how the problems, the curse, the myths, the mystery, the long-lost places, the unfinished business from the past and everything else seemed to be coincidentally interconnected. It's like, every element in the story had this link, interlacing with other elements and so on and so forth that were gradually unfolding, in just the right pace, as the story picked up. There's nothing, absolutely nothing i didn't like and love about the book. Nothing something that could negate the brilliance of the story. Everything was just.....perfectly crafted. My main point here is that, Melina Marchetta is a very brilliant writer and she proved that again in Froi of the Exiles, (although she need proving no more) of which the ending was a cliffhanger that made me extremely antsy to read the last installment of the series, Quintana of Charyn, which I'm sure i will no doubt love! <3
