Arriving a couple of years late to this party, I realize, but I had to finish at least the first one before seeing the movie! Absolutely loved it...Jacksonesque with the sense of impending doom from the onset as in "The Lottery," a tale of transformation from a young person with unrealized talent to strategic prowess such as in the Ender's Game series and Harry Potter and just as disturbing as Lord of the Flies...but with an interesting twist. At times, the story felt like it was a tale of reality TV on steroids. Undeniably, Katniss Everdeen now ranks up there as one of my favorite protagonists.

Brandon O'Neill When I first read it, I knew it was hyped and did not like the 1st chapter. After that, I really loved it too! Saw the movie a few days ago and really enjoyed it too.
