it was amazing

Maids of Misfortune presented no difficulty whatsoever in the suspension of belief stakes. The plausibility of the plot, the all-round dimensional characters, together with the realism and logical progression of the dialogue, all contributed to a soundly constructed work. There were no ‘stretches’ required and the historical flavour of the piece was particularly deft. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and would freely recommend it to others.
