I spent most of this book thinking, "When is this going to really get going?" Apparently, it was going. Hunh. This is not to say that there wasn't action, adventure, and intrigue-- all those things were there-- but it felt like the entire book was just a lead-in to something bigger. All of the events were clearly small pieces in a bigger puzzle. Sure enough, the book ended right at the point when the "real" story finally felt like it was beginning. Grrr... Annoying, but I enjoy the characters enough (go, go Mitch Rapp!) that I have immediately started into the third book in the series.
