Read in January, 2008

Betsy Taylor, newly unemployed secretary with a penchant for expensive shoes, wakes up dead - or rather she wakes up undead with a thirst for blood - and promptly gets involved in a feud between two senior vampires.

I had some issues with the standard of the writing at the beginning, but the story is engaging, and what is essentially a fluffy chick-lit version of a vamp novel eventually references darker topics, but always keeping a light and humourous touch.

A very quick read. The sort of chick-lit I'm not too embarrassed about reading. And it made me laugh out loud once or twice.
