Incredible account of the horrors of the Great Leap Forward that resulted in the death of millions while Mao and his syncophants played ridiculous games with agriculture and industry bringing an already poor country to near collapse. a tale I had not known in any detail. Lots of facts - perhaps too many- with names of places and persons that I cannot keep straight, but an amazing documentary of one of the greates follies of all history. Small wonder that China is not spending much energy eulogizing Mao
