Echoes
by Danielle Steel
by Danielle Steel
An elderly widow lent this to me, telling me it was her favorite book. I haven't read any Danielle Steel books before, but thought they were steamy romance novels. Thinking it a little odd that my neighbor was into that sort of thing (yes, possible, but still weird), but hoping to be able to tell my neighbor that I liked her favorite book, I read it.
I was pleasantly surprised. Although there are a few romances in the book, that wasn't the entire focus. It told the stories of a couple of generations of women in Germany during the first and second World Wars. Other than finding the large print a bit of a distraction, and stumbling over foreign names, I enjoyed the story.
