This novel is about a high-schooler named Carietta White. She is being tortured by her classmates and by her very religious mother. What the classmates don't know is that Carrie has the psychic power, telekinesis. Her mother tells her not to use it because it is "satan's power." And when a girl Sue Snell starts to feel bad for Carrie, she tells her boyfriend to go to prom with Carrie. But another girl named Chris Hargenson tells her boyfriend to kill a pig and keep the blood in a bucket, it all turns into a nightmare. Carrie gets elected prom queen, having the time of her life. Until, the bullies dump the pigs blood on her, and everyone laughs at her. She goes into a rage with her telekinetic powers, and can't be stopped.

This is an amazing story. I would recommend this novel to anybody.
