Liam Bergstrom has just joined the Varsity basketball team. He has made a lot of new friends. Liam has a beautiful girlfriend named McKenzie in France. Liam’s coach is having the kids do prayers before each game and Liam thinks that he isn’t allowed to do that. Liam calls a place that can talk to him about that and he finds out that he is not allowed to be doing that. In the middle of this Liam also gets mad at his girlfriend because she goes to the movies with this guy called Jean Baptise. McKenzie says that she can’t talk on the phone with Liam any more. She can only email him. Liam ends up finding out they can’t do prayers and he leaves the team. This guy named Darius is on the girls’ team helping them practice and Jack, the girls’ coach, asks Liam if he wants to join the team and he does. He becomes really good friends with all the girls. The boys that he quit the team from come up to him and are really mean to him. They all punch him and walk away laughing at his pain. The girls are 22-01-00. They have a better rank than the boys’ team. The girls are playing their last game of the season. They are playing really good but they ended up losing. They had a party because their record was still 22-02-00. The boys came and they challenged the girls to play them. They accept the challenge. When Liam goes home he sees that McKenzie had sent a message saying it was over and then he saw one from that day that said she wanted him back. Liam ended up deleting both of them. Liam, Darius, the girls, and the boys go to the Y to play their game. “The first one to 100 wins” Pelke says. They both play there hardest but the girls end up winning! They go celebrate. Liam asks Iris, a girl on the team, if she wants to go to the movies and she says that she isn’t into boys that way. Chloe, another girl on the team, asks Liam if he wants to go to the movies with all of the people on the team and he says yes. They go to the movies and they have a lot of fun.
