Listening to this on CD... 4.5 stars.

I've completely deleted my other review of this ... it was dumb.

I love this book, can't wait for "Froi of the Exiles" in a few months, and am addicted to MM.

wow...I really love this story. I love how you can fall in love with a male character, not for the physical description of him, but for his actual character...the grit and determination he shows, for the tenderness and humility.

I got so much more out of the story as well..how the curse worked into being a blessing in the end.

Emily I loved loved LOVED this book...and needless to say I love Marchetta :D:D

Wendy It was ridiculous...it was before I became an unabashed MM fangirl.

Basically, i think I read it, and just didn't pay attention enough. so I kept thinking there were plot holes and inconsistencies. And I didn't get the part where they open up the walls. Silly me....

It was just a 'meh' review...and now that I've been exposed to all her stuff, I just can't get enough of it.

It really is pure awesome sauce.

Emily agreed :D:D. For her first foray into fantasy I thought she did a fantastic job. I'm really stoked for the second one in the series, woot woot!!
