Another awesome installment in this series. This story features Mercy and how she gets caught up in exonerating her fae friend and mentor, Zee from being wrongfully accused and arrested for the murder of a human. There is a lot of danger and intrigue in this novel, and there was a traumatic event toward the end of the novel that surprised me and kept my heart in a twisted mess for the last 50 pages or so. Yeah, I was crying... but the emotion that Briggs is able to convey goes deeper than that. My heart actually ached in this one. The ending was good and hopeful and as happy as it could be. Which was also realistic.
