This is a continuation of a story that started with Full Moon Rising about Riley Jensen, her twin brother Rhoan and other members of the Directorate of Other Races.

Riley wakes up not knowing where she is but it does not take her long to realize that she needs to get away, she finds a stable and there some horses, where she meets Kade a Shape shifter who becomes a stallion. Together they manage to escape and with the help of her Directorate friends they arrive back in Melbourne, but people are still trying to kill Riley so that they can use her for experimental purposes. There was lots of action and lot of new creatures that are used as weapons were introduced.

Lots of loving too with Riley and Quinn – her vampire lover from the first book, she is still mating with Mishka, who has been one of her lovers for over 12 months, Kade the new man and she has also jest met Kellen, who could be her life mate?

Roll on next book. This series really needs to start by reading book 1, because so far it is a continuation with the original characters but some adding some new ones along the way.
