I have read some of Lamott's other book, "Traveling Mercies." This book was a collection of "situations" of how Lamott uses her faith to muddle through life and it's curveballs. She includes the fact that her son is a teenager and what it's like to live with "Phil." Phil is the nickname she gives to her son when he is exhibiting strange teenage behavior. Personally, I enjoyed the vignettes of her life and how she portrayed her struggles in faith in a lighthearted and honesy way.
