** spoiler alert ** I loved the way in which the author whosed the diversity among Muslims. Being from indiana and that the book opens with the main character stopping to do morning prayers by the Madonna of the Trail statue here in Richmond as she's driving back to her childhood home near Indianapolis, i loved the local connections. i laughed alud when the family agreed that the state of Indiana needed to do wudu because it smelled like farts! But it wasn't a book that bashed the midwest. i hope that there will be a sequel.
