** spoiler alert ** Haven still blames Ever for the death of her boyfriend Roman, no matter how hard Ever’s tried to convince her it was an accident. Now she’s determined to take Ever down…and destroy Damen and Jude along the way. Her first step is to tear Ever and Damen apart—and she has just the ammunition to do it.

Hidden in one of Ever’s past lives is a terrible secret about Damen—a secret that illuminates new facts about her relationship with Jude, but that’s so dark and brutal it might be enough to drive her and Damen apart once and for all. As Ever faces her greatest fears about the guy she wants to spend eternity with, she’s thrust into a deadly clash with Haven that could destroy them all.

Now it’ll take everything she’s got—and bring out powers she never knew she had—to face down her most formidable enemy. But in order to win, she must first ask herself: is her own survival worth dooming Haven to an eternity of darkness in the Shadowland? And will learning the truth about Damen’s past hold the key to their future?

I love Alyson, but I have to give this one a lower rating. I'm glad about the way things ended with Haven because she is so annoying, but this curse thing has dragged on too long. I feel like she's doing this because she doesn't want the characters to have sex, but this curse thing should have ended two books ago. I'm ready for a new storyline for this series. I do like how Jude mixes into the story. He's a character that's always peeked my interest. I'm not crazy about this book, but I will read the next book which I believe in the final of the series.

I had a chance to interview Alyson in Summer 2010. You can check out that interview here: http://www.yafantasyguide.com/author-...

Stina All I can say is that Ever and Damen had better have sex in the last book (even if it's just alluded to). :)

Stacey O'Neale I feel the exact same way! If they don't I will be highly disappointed

Catherine @Stina: totally agree! :)

Sophie I totally agree with you on the fact that the curse thing should have ended 3 books ago this 6 book series could really have been a trilogy- everything is continually being dragged on and it's really annoying
