An interesting thought experiment, well-plotted and structured, but really terribly written. Really, terribly. So much of the time it felt very flat, although I wanted to see how things turned out and it became pretty page-turny. It could have been philosophically deeper, but it chose to emphasise romance more so; but y'know, I believe in love as a great human motivator, so that's OK. But these characters were a bit too cut-out to invest in the love story, and Grimwood isn't a capable enough writer to imbue the story with enough emotional depth, although he tries. Anyway. I believe they're developing a movie of this (no it wasn't already Groundhog Day, but yes that is exactly the same concept, only with a day instead of the whole life); great idea, I think it could be great for a movie. It aint exactly literature.
