Reading the synopsis on the back of this book I thought it would be a pretty raunchy story, not so for me, it was pretty tame. When I first started reading it I likened to writing to Victoria Alexander – to me it seemed a similar style. I was going to give a 3 at first but by the time I got to the end of it I gave a four because it was interesting to read the interaction between Jem Strange and Harriett, Duchess of Berrow.

She enjoyed playing the part of a man but a lot of people did see through the disguise including Jem.
