** spoiler alert ** Ok, this has got to be the first 'detailed' review I've ever written...so bear with me.

Passion is the third book in the Fallen series written by Lauren Kate. This book has many flashbacks where Luce explores her past lives in order to discover how her love for Daniel began, and why they are cursed. She wants to unlock this curse in order to understand her fate. But the catch is: Daniel is chasing after her before she has a chance to rewrite history.

THOUGHTS. (spoiler-y! BEWARE.)

Well...let me just warn you before you start reading this: Luce does not narrate each chapter in third person, but also Daniel. It confused me at first, but I eventually got used to it. I also didn't know which Daniel was which at times...
Before reading this, I had to reread Torment because almost a year had passed since I'd finished it, so the details were a little bit hazy. It was really boring for me to reread it ( I sped through it) and I guess that's why this book was very slow for me. I'm not saying it wasn't interesting and written well, but I guess I just wasn't...iNTRIGUED. Hey, this is just my opinion, after all.

This installment explains a whole lot about the whole curse, and the whole balance between Heaven and Hell. I'm glad to see that Cam wasn't all bad, and that he used to be Daniel's brother . :')
The ending was so abrupt, how Satan was going to erase the past! OOOOH. WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT? aha.
But it was cute how Luce said 'Always' to Daniel, the way he said it to her in the previous book.

And did anyone see 'evil' Bill coming? Cos I sure didn't. I can't believe I was so shortsighted, not seeing that. I mean, Satan even ANNOUNCED that he was going to step in himself. I actually liked Bill --' But whatever. Oh, and the whole cleaving/3D thing was so cool! But it's strange isn't it, how Daniel and the other angels couldn't sense that it was actually Luce and not one of her past incarnations. THEY'RE SUPERNATURAL BEINGS, FOR GODS' SAKE! I'm probably being too harsh :|

Also, I found Luce quite annoying in this book. Or was she always that annoying? She's a very weak protagonist.

She's always thinking about DANIEL. Daniel this, Daniel that. I find it selfish of her. And Luce constantly thinks badly of CAM! He's not ALWAYS evil, Lucinda. You shouldn't judge him, even if he's sided with the devil. Great, I'm contradicting myself. What can I say - I love Cam. And dislike Daniel. Sorry, guys.

Anyhow, I've criticized this book way too much; here are a few good points, even though I won't mention them all:
It was a very interesting ride, i must say. I especially enjoyed the chapter with Shakespeare - I found it so intriguing. I love theatre!
And the idea of a stuck-up, snobby Luce? That made me laugh. (remember, when she was a princess in England? Yup, that's it).

I gave 'Passion' only 3 stars because it wasn't great. But it wasn't terrible, either. It means 'I liked it'. So go ahead and see for yourself - you might even give it 5 stars. (:
