liked it
bookshelves: owned, ya, post-apocalyptic-dystopian-utopian, zombies, awful-heroine
Recommended for: YA romance fans, who don't mind a bit of horror
Read in December, 2010 — I own a copy

The premise I really like, but the main character.. I did not. She was selfish. I realize in a post-apocalyptic world quite a few people would be selfish, but this girl grew up in a sort of compound and didn't really have to worry about the zombies until the start of the book. And yet, she wanted nothing more than to see the ocean despite warnings that it was dangers and despite risking the life of everyone she has left to get there.
Both main guys are in love with her, which is so typical for a YA and annoying because she instantly goes for the taken guy instead of the open guy she's sure of. Again, typical.
I dunno... I liked this book, but didn't. It was, in fact, the first zombie book I've read though I imagine World War Z is going to be much better. :)
