I liked this book, though not as much as I liked Grimspace. All the secondary characters were quite awesome in this book. I like how Aguirre develops her characters. They're all so interesting, with their own flaws and background, as though any of them could become the main character at any time. But... I didn't like Jax or March in this book. To me, it's ok if I'm not that into March, but it's not ok that I didn't like Jax. I feel like the things I liked best about her were gone. She's kind of weak throughout the book, though fairly strong-willed. I liked when she was kick-ass, but then she does miss her own kick-assness too. So even though I know it's intentional, I'm not accustomed to it, and I don't like it. She also didn't really carry the humor in this book; the supporting cast did. I find Vel hilarious, and Dina's attitude still makes me laugh. March was almost a non-factor in this book, and I was getting a little tired of the mutual neediness of the Jax-March relationship.

One of my favorite parts of this book was the imagery of space. It makes me wish I were an astronaut. This book had a clean plot, a twist I never saw coming but that still made sense, lots of action, and a great pace as usual.
