Again, de Lint's characteristic Newford is amazing and consistent (yeah, I'm a nerd for consistent worlds and magic systems). Plot twists are well done without being too much "ha ha, gotcha". Does require a certain amount of suspension of disbelief, but mostly because of the types of characters he uses for this particular story (should be street-savvy people, occasionally slip from that mould). Liked it quite a bit, will likely be a cheerful favorite to reread after a bit more time has passed.
