Venice Vampyr is Raphael's brother - Dante - story. Viola is a woman with limited time. Diagnosed with a brain tumor and only 3 months to live, she wants to live her last days to the fullest. She leaves her family and goes about fulfilling her last wishes. Viola doesn't want to die a virgin so she visits an establishment where she can find a man to have sex with, with no questions asked. That is when Dante comes into the picture and rescues Viola - against her wishes - from a man who likes to beat women for pleasure. Now that Dante has messed up her plans for losing her virginity, Dante offers his services.

I've read the first book, Venice Vampyr, at the end of 2010 and the novella was smoking hot! In the first novella, Dante comes off as a bit of a jackass. In Final Affair, Dante is not the big jackass that he was. He's immediately gentle and kind with Viola. I thought the personality change was a little odd. I guess it takes the right woman to bring the best out of a man. Although I enjoyed the romance between Dante and Viola, I felt that this novella lacked some of the heat that was in Raphael's book. It's a good quick read. Can be read as a stand alone but I suggest reading the first novella, Venice Vampyr, before reading this one.
