I loved the bride quartet. A friend recommended them as I'm a hopeless romantic and I've dabbled in wedding planning. I loved the focus on both the romantic pursuit and the business side of things. I loved that everyone showed up in everyone else's books and that a wedding that was being planned in book one for 4 months from now showed up as a wedding day in book two (and so on). That was a nice touch for fans who followed all 4 books. I enjoyed reading these books, they were a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine. I read all 4 one right after another though, and that may have been a mistake. While they're great books and very well written and each story is different, they do seem to follow a bit of a formula. ie: They meet, they both want each other but is sure the other person doesn't want them, they shouldn't want each other but they do anyway, they have a momentary lapse in judgement which leads to the start of something, they get into a fight and think all is lost, one person surprises the other with a thoughtful and romantic gesture and all is well, the end. Don't get me wrong, I very much enjoyed reading them, but I started to find it a little repetitive by the 4th book. I think if I read more Nora Roberts romances I'll break them up a bit with a completely different genre in between. I think the bride quartet is worth a read for all the hopeless romantics out there.
