This was a moving story about child abuse told from the perspective of an 8 year old little girl named Caroline. I can't really explain all the things I loved about the book without giving away important information, so I'll just state that I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoyed The Secret life of Bees by Sue Kidd Monk. The only warning I would give is that there are some very sad scenes that make you want to reach out to Caroline and comfort her, so if you are overly sensitive, it may not be a good read for you.
