This books has some very original and new concepts and ideas I trully enjoyed, but in other aspects I felt bad while reading it. Why? Because there are some very descriptive sexual scenes with a lot of explicit details spanning several pages and although I don't mind sexual intercourse in books and like chick lit a lot, that was simply too much! But maybe I should have guessed this becuase the cover already shows a lot of naked skin ;(. Also the romance was too predictable and only the zombies, Mr. Fox the adventurer and the sky ships as well as all the steampunk kept me glued to this novel! Anyway, I surely will read the sequels :)

Janina Oh, looking forward to hearing what you think! Hope it's good :). And seriously, books with the word 'iron' in the title are everywhere right now ...

Corinne Yeah, I noticed that too ;). Hopefully it's better than "The iron witch" and although I like Julie Kagawa's Iron triology, I don't think it's that excellent or original. Maybe this "iron" book at least will be according to my taste. If I don't keep it you can have it - providing you still want to read it ;)

Janina Thanks. I'll wait for your review ;). Yeah, I'm not really a fan of Kagawa's trilogy either. I've read the first one, but I don't feel like giving the rest a try.

Corinne I don't think it's bad YA fantasy, but there's no real surprise or twist in Kagawa's books. I liked "Tithe" by Holly Black better ;). However, I'm now reading the third part and Ash and Puck starting to grow on me. Somehow, I don't care for Meghan at all and the romance is nothing new and hard to believe.

Teccc Well, yes, it is a romance novel. ;) But if I remember correctly, they don't have sex for the first 200 pages. And even though it is a bit much later in the novel, I don't really care:I just skip a few pages and continue reading when the story continues...

Corinne I also skipped some pages and didn't mind that much. I can't wait to read if this Mr. Fox survived his dropfall into a zombie-infested Venice and the subplot about Leonardo da Vinci! Hopefully, there these points will be explored in the sequel :)
