The Beach House

Nan Powell, lives in a house on a bluff overlooking the ocean on Nantucket, she has been a widow for over 20 years, her son Michael left home a long time ago and around town she is known as the crazy lady. At sixty five she has just found out that she is running out of money and the only asset she has is her home, inherited from her husband.
Nan decides to do it up a bit and let out the rooms for the summer to bring in some income and to bring the house back to life. The story is about the people who come to stay, Daniel who is recently divorced, has come to be close to his family while they are holidaying here, Daff also recently divorced and the mother of an angry teenage daughter has come for the summer also, as her daughter has decided that she wants to live her father for the moment. Michael, Nan’s son also comes home as life in the city has got a little out of hand.
It was put together well, I enjoyed each story as it was told – there is sadness, happiness and surprises to be had.
