I am a Sue Miller fan, even when she creates a character who makes me somewhat insane (While You Were Gone). However I found her use of different narrators very well-done here and it was a fascinating plot; which like that of The Nobodies Album, examines the transformation of one's life and tragedy into art. Miller's writing always seems so straightforward, more like a camera recording people than creating characters. It was thought provoking, complex and satisfying. A good read!
