This book is so refreshing, this author took really took te telling an Amish story to another level. Jorie is waiting and spending her good years waiting but not knowing what for. Jorie knows that she wants to be Amish, stay on a farm, raise a family but she's been promised to a young mand who is wild at heart and sure he is Amish at all. Ben has the power to charm women and he does the same to Jorie. This book touches on how war affects the Amish people, how they deal with their older people in the community and how complicated the truth can be. I loved following Cal and Jorie through their romance but it will break your heart at moments to see how fast a brother can break his famillies heart.

Kristina Speaking of refreshing authors, Jeanette Oke has a freebie for Kindle available right now called The Centurion's Wife (I believe it was). It's in the top 100 free list for Kindle on Amazon if you're interested. I haven't read that particular title yet, but always loved reading her other series when I was growing up.
