I was going to take a break from this series but I went back to it. I am glad I did I didn't like the Mammoth Hunters it seem like a soap opera, one of my friend called it As The Rock Turns. But The Plains of Passage seem to get back on track for me. Ayla and Jondalar, are traveling back to his family in the west. They find welcome with several groups that Jondalar had first met on his journey east. Again Auel's research and knowledge about the early inhabitants of the Asian Steppes and eastern Europe shows and I was glad to be back on the voyage of discovery. I have one more to read before the long awaited 6th book is released this spring. The Plains of Passage (Earth's Children, #4) by Jean M. Auel
