A charming book about a long-ago boy in Korea who wants to be a potter. Only my second-favorite book teaching the importance of hard work if you want to be a master potter, however -- I still recommend Lloyd Alexander's insanely-good Taran Wanderer if you can only read one book that addresses that theme.

Bridget Taran Wanderer! I had forgotten all about him, and about that series, until you mentioned it. But I should re-read those at some point...I remember loving them as a kid.
