I wanted to love this book, but instead I am angry at it, and I don't get angry at books very often. The Collyer brothers were eccentric brothers living in their families' 5th Ave home off Central Park. Homer goes blind and Langley goes mad after being gassed in the Great War. They became recluses in their mansion and Langley started to collect things - to hoard things - he was thrifty, saving everything they might find a use for, though they had plenty of money. He bought multiple newspapers daily for a project that only he understood and filled the house floor to ceiling with stacks and bundles of papers. The story is told my Homer, and I didn't entirely relate to the voice of the telling. The story of the brothers is an interesting one, and this leads me to want to know more about them, however this novel only left me with questions!!! I'm frustrated.
