It took a while to get into this book, but once into it, I loved it. I laughed and I cried; and I mean, I really cried. This seems to be one of Marlena's lesser known books, and I see they didn't even bother to put a cover on it for this site, but you know what they say: don't judge a book by its cover... and as there is no cover on this one you will have to read it to judge it. It certainly has my vote.

Beth Bonini I think that this novel was also published, more famously, under the title: A Thousand Days in Tuscany.
