I don't have a clue whether Zizek is maintaining even the merest hint of consistency between his various writings, and really it's not my business to know. Taken on its own, this seems a pretty strong contribution to (popular) political philosophy in the current time and place.
At any rate, he's consistently entertaining, backhanded compliment though that may be. Even if this is just contrarianism, and little else, on show here, it certainly provoked a few thoughts from a different perspective.
