it was amazing
bookshelves: fantasy, ya

Buckle your swashes, people, this book is EPIC. Throne of Glass is a story that soars, taking in action, romance, political intrigue and magic. Following the very best traditions of the genre, the story takes us from the salt mines of Endovier to the glass palace in the capital, but never loses touch with the human element.

Celaena is a gutsy, three-dimensional heroine, and I was with her in every incarnation, from deadly assassin to fashion plate to teenaged girl grappling with friendship and romance. Her world is packed with detail and rich culture, and I can't wait to see more of it in the rest of the series.

Having read all four prequel novellas, I had huge expectations for this book -- Throne of Glass met them in every way.
