One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez: I don’t know how I managed to avoid reading Marquez for so long, with all the Spanish I took in school, but reading him has made me rethink my top favorite books of all time list. I think I could make a compelling argument that this tale of the Buendia family is the best novel ever written. The last line of this book sends chills down my spine.
