I enjoyed this--I loved Paris, and the British Museum; the villain turned out to be the proper person; and while I was ready to smack Emily silly a few times, when it came right down to it, she rose to the occasion. I must confess I loved the scenes where she set the hook and reeled in the villain, enough that I've got the next book in the series on hold. It's hard not to compare this to Deanna Raybourne's Lady Julia series, and halfway through I was ready to return my copy and pay my overdue fines, but I did enjoy the end and look forward to seeing what's next for Emily and her band of friends.
