Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire: What Happens When God's Spirit Invades the Heart of His People

by Jim Cymbala, Dean Merrill
One of my favorite books on prayer, Jim Cymbala saturates each page with the passion he has for prayer, allowing for the fresh wind of passionate prayer to spread, the fresh fire setting a person on fire for the conversational relationship with God we were intended to have.
Not one book in my prayer class of my undergraduate Bible degree catches the essence of prayer as this book does. As my professor said, prayer is more caught than taught, meaning that prayer is something of a dialogue with no script to work from, and thus must be taught through understanding the Spirit of prayer rather than the script. This book does exactly that! I like this book so much that when I see spare copies at Goodwill I buy them to just pass out to people.
