Loved it. Daisy Whitney's interesting YA novel THE MOCKINGBIRDS, handled the subject of date rape amazingly well. The main character, Alex (a girl) is both complex and likeable. I liked the way other students supported her. I really dug the dialogue and conversations. I'm a bit slow and didn't figure out that the setting and school are in England, which made sense, because. The Mockingbirds is a secret group of students who carry out justice in a most acceptable and democratic manner, and the concept is brilliant. Highly recommended!
