** spoiler alert ** This audio book was my companion on the holiday drive to PA this year. It's about a girl whose little sister (Zoe) was hit by a car and killed while she was supposed to be watching her, which might make you think it's a book of misery, but it's not. It starts after the accident and follows Tess, the main character, as she tries to come to terms with what happened and how to go on with her life after.

The story was gripping and well told, I cared about the characters, and I wanted to know what was going to happen (and exactly what had happened before the beginning of the story). It was a little too poignant for listening while driving, but I enjoyed it very much. It made the last five hours of the drive, during which I was getting extremely squirmy and unhappy to be there, tolerable if not pleasant. That's a win for sure.
