Mary is stuck in a rut. She works for a law firm as a paralegal but doesn't like her job. She wants to be working with autistic people and their families like she used to. Her world is upended when she meets Rhage, a stunningly handsome man while trying to help her friend John.

Rhage feels an immediate attraction to Mary. He could listen to her voice all day. The problem is that she doesn't think he actually wants her because she isn't traditionally beautiful. Also, his beast reacts to her in a way it's never reacted to a female before.

I have the same problems with this one I had with the last one. Shitkickers? Really? And all the characters call them that, not just the brothers? I loved Mary as a strong female character. One of the reasons I like Ward so much is that she doesn't constantly undermine her female characters by having the men save them all the time. Much better than Cole about it (at least in some of Cole's romances).
