Wow, what a childhood to have to live through. I really admire the author for getting out of that situation alive and with her mental health more-or-less in tact. I really enjoyed the book and the detail given to her story. The only thing I wish she had went more into, was at the end when the books ends with a "all is well in the world" type of ending. I really wish she had written a little about whether or not her mother was eventually prosecuted etc. You can probably look it up online somewhere I suppose, but I would rather just have that information in the back of the book somewhere. But overall a fascinating read, especially if you want to learn a little about MBP.
