The back cover was promising but the book did not quite live up to what I was expecting.
The first 130 pages were hard to get through with the characters fighting against their feeling of wanting each other, I can understand Matthew being who he was after being locked away as a prisoner for 12 years and yes Grace had her guilts and she was naive and immature, but surely she realised she was stuck here with this man so just give into your feelings please.
When they at last gave themselves to each other the book got pretty good, then there was a let down at the end when Grace managed to rescue Matthew and then decided that he needed to get out and about and meet other people so she bade him to leave her alone. Then the fact that he left her alone for 12 months and came back to her after having not been with anyone else - just a little unbelievable.
