I'm snuggling in with a tried and true friend at the end of each day. I'm recording the Masterpiece Theatre's series of Jane Austen's works (6, I believe), and thought I'd reread them before viewing them. This is a wallow-read - just taking my time and wandering and lingering in each page and chapter.

Scot Have you seen the film 'The Jane Austen Book Club" out on DVD? I think you would like it, somewhere along the line, as you're reading through the series. In the film, the different book club members experience modern versions of the concerns, issues, and tribulations undergone in the various Austen works. They work through major life issues while discussing in turn all the works of Austen, and become better friends and more perceptive people as a result. I give it a thumbs up.

Gwen NO! Great! I've wondered about that video; have seen it at the rental shop. (Finished Masterpieces written and viewed a while ago.) Still on Ian #1 - Haven't had time to read; might try to snag a few minutes NOW!
