Sylvester, Duke of Salford, has finally decided to marry. Not because he is in love, of course, but because it is time he did so. Sylvester learns from his mother that he was once (almost) betrothed as a child to Sylvester’s godmother’s granddaughter (got all that? LOL). So, that is the person he decides he might as well marry. Phoebe Marlow is said granddaughter. When Phoebe hears that Sylvester is coming to visit her to propose she wants nothing to do with it. Phoebe met Sylvester once and danced with him and instantly made him villain (Count Ugolino) in her book. But, things don’t always turn out how you plan or foresee them to.

I don’t want to give anything else away in this rather exciting Regency story. I love the characters, the plot, and of course Richard Armitage’s reading of it! I highly recommend this to any Regency fan, Georgette Heyer fan, or Richard Armitage fan.
