I hate this book.
It was so...
Well cheesy.
My head hurt from it.
The phobia thing was nice.
But all the rest?

Dinjolina Oh Sam...no!
Poor baby. :(
It is so super bad...i bought the set,all 3 books.
It kind of gets worse.
In the third her sappy boyfriend gets carried away to Valhalla.Yeas,THAT Valhalla. And she has to fight in front of Odin. That Odin.

Dinjolina Yeah.
Not so funny when you buy the stuff :D

AH It was bad. Zara is TSTL. Plot was Twilight with Pixies and gold dust. Learning new vocabulary was good. I can no longer read YA books - nothing is original any more.

AH Let's just say, I was generous with 2 stars. The second star was for vocabulary expansion.

Dinjolina Yeah...but did you not think that some of the dialogues were as corny as they were forced?

There is this portion in the second book (i think) where Zara says to her friends mother : You are made of awesome sauce! And the mother tells her 'You are so silly Zara white!' and then SLAPS HER FU*KING THIGH!!!

Do your mothers behave so strangely?

AH No, you really need a test audience for your dialogue. I always ask my teen sons if they would say or think of whatever I've been reading. Lots of blank stares. Kind of funny, huh?

Dinjolina Well I'm 22. And i have younger siblings.
Non of us would talk like this.
The same problem i had with Hexbound
These things that they say are ...something only lobotomized kids would say.
