it was amazing
Read from December 27, 2010 to January 22, 2011

Warren Ellis is a mean-spirited, backstabbing, ornery SOB. But his yearlong tour of the comic book industry in 1999 is a fun read. Twelve years later, it's also fun to see how many of his predictions were spot-on and way-off.

For people in the industry, or people that like the funny books, this will be interesting.

Simon I recognize some of Ellis' gripes with the comics industry but not others. This might be a consequence of how much the business has changed over the last 15 years, but it could also be the differences between the UK/US comics industry and the Continental European one which Ellis does refer to in the chapter where he describes his trip to Iceland. (not that Iceland is literally Continental, but it is culturally part of Scandinavia)
