The 2nd in the Alvin Maker series. Orson Scott Card seems to like retelling a story from another perspective as evidenced by some of his other series. In this case a thread of two Indian brothers - one a One-eyed Whiskey Red and the other a great warrior weave together a story in this alternate universe of the Indian-White settler conflict which shows it's earlier influence on Alvin and brings him into the conflict. Very interesting story which I want to continue to see developed in the rest of the series.
